What to eat before you start your retreat

What should you bring
To make your retreat experience as pleasant as possible, it is advisable to abstain from alcohol for a few days before your retreat, and at the very least the day before. If possible eliminating sugary and processed food is also advisable.

Pack comfortable clothing, a good book if you like to read and a bathing suit if you would like to have a swim in the ocean.

Otherwise everything you need will be provided!
Friday
Treatments commence
A special electrolyte mix will be prepared to add to your water and to be consumed at your leisure. You also have the option of bone broth or coconut water. There will also be supplement schedule including activated charcoal to mop up toxins from the digestive tract along with magnesium to help you relax and sleep well. All will be provided.
We will get together at 1pm at Back Door Spa 42 Nayland Street for orientation and a short meditation. Treatments begin after 2pm in pairs. While one person is getting a coffee colonic, the other receives a Zero Balancing session and then they switch over.
The coffee colonic is important as it helps empty the bowel of waste making the fasting process more pleasant as the body does not have to deal with toxicity from the colon. The coffee retention half way through the colonic further supports the detoxifying process by supporting the liver. The colonic will also give you a great empty feeling.

The Zero Balancing session is great for releasing tension from the bone structure and bringing balance to not only the physical body but the mental and spiritual body as well. People often notice they have more movement in their body after a session and they feel more grounded. Most importantly it feels really good!!

Saturday
Treatments continue along with Art Fun!
Again the electrolyte mix with water and supplements are prepared fresh and consumed at leisure.
Your art day begins at 9:30am with Brenda from Creative Giant.
Please bring your own water bottle and wear clothes & shoes which you are prepared to get paint on because sometimes things just get messy & they just don't wash out! An Apron is provided for you to wear on the day

Treatments of colonics and massages are again done in pairs beginning around 4pm.

Closing the Retreat
Treatments of colonic with probiotic and Lymphatic Drainage Massage will take place in pairs at around 11am.

The probiotic colonic cleanses the colon and then a probiotic implant is left in the colon at the end of the session to help balance the gut flora at the end of your cleanse.

The lymphatic drainage helps release any excess fluid at the end of the fast and release any residue yet needed to be released.

The retreat is now coming to a close. A final yoga session will take place at 4pm at the Retreat House.

You can start using the oral probiotics in the evening to help build new balanced gut flora.
Monday

How to resume eating again gently
Check out is 11am. You are ready to go home!

It is advisable to start with simple cooked food such as vegetable soup. Refrain from fresh foods such as salads as they can be irritating to the colon. Then in the days to come slowly start adding more foods, cooked meats, roasted vegetables and then raw foods.

Continue to use the oral probiotics until you run out.
